Last year, I reflected deeply on what it means to truly submit to God’s perfect will. As followers of Christ, we know Jesus as our Savior, but have we made Him our Lord? There’s a profound difference—and it can transform your entire life.
For years, I chased career goals, accolades, and ambitions. On the surface, it looked like I was thriving. But deep down, I felt a disconnect—like success alone wasn’t enough. I had the achievements, but I lacked true peace. Then God stepped in. He made me so uncomfortable in my “success” that I had no choice but to let go. And let me tell you—it wasn’t easy. I resisted, I questioned, and I even threw tantrums. But when I finally surrendered, my life began to change in ways I couldn’t imagine.
That breaking point was the beginning of my transformation. Letting go of my plans and submitting to God’s will didn’t take away my ambition—it refined it and gave it purpose.
I have learned that you cannot pour from a contaminated vessel. To fully align with God’s plan, we must let go of the double life, the divided heart, and the idols we secretly cling to. For me, that idol was my career. For you, it might be something else. To remain pure, we have to stay submitted to God. Jesus must be our Savior AND Lord.
If you’re feeling the weight of success without fulfillment, true transformation comes through surrender.
Here are three ways to start shifting from striving to surrendering:
1. Recognize the Difference
Salvation secures eternity, but Lordship transforms your daily life. Ask yourself, “Is Jesus just my Savior, or is He truly my Lord?”
2. Seek the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is your helper, teacher, truth speaker, and so much more. Invite Him in, and let Him guide you in spirit and truth.
3. Align with God’s Word
Don’t just read scripture—live it. Let God’s Word shape your decisions, relationships, and purpose.
Jesus is My Savior AND Lord
When I made Jesus my Lord, not just my Savior, I found peace, clarity, and purpose like never before. Since then, I have focused on moments that matter, poured into others, and walked in alignment with what God is calling me to do.
On December 30, 2024, I had the opportunity to share a part of my testimony with the Glory Realm of Faith for the Thanksgiving Testimonies Worship virtual service. CLICK HERE for the link.

Invitation to Salvation
If you’re not saved, take that first step today. And if you are saved, ask yourself if you’ve truly made Jesus Lord of your life.
Romans 10:9 tells us:
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Please let us know if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior today. We are rejoicing with you! Pray that God leads you to a church where you can grow and develop.
